Psycho’s Army

“Psycho’s Army” is an organization with political goals. While some regard the members as terrorists (due to their criminal methods), others regard them as revolutionaries. The Army (in short) mainly criticizes Gorgonia’s hypocrisy, since the government is promoting the country as one of perfect balance, while it actually tends to turn their back on those who really need help (whether emotionally or financially). Their main goals are to provide better education, improve the handling with mental issues, come up with new methods to provide a safe pension and welfare aid, additionally to installing more social institutions. Since the government tends to just ignore anybody who wants to make a change that doesn’t go well with their ideas, the Army has chosen to achieve their goals by trying a more violent approach. The members of The Army are sure they’ll go down in history and change this country forever.

Founders: “Psycho”, “Knife” and “Thunder”

Early Stage (lasts for about three years):

General Information:

• Psycho, Thunder and Knife create “Psycho’s Army” (it bears Psycho’s name, because it was mainly her idea and the boys simply decide to help her)
• They basically just want to get heard and draw attention to all the problems the government so happily ignores
• They mainly lead demos, use the media to promote their opinions, spray graffiti and vandalize
• They own a few common weapons like guns in case they need them
• After having learned of the existence of demons and of them being forbidden from leaving the Fireland unless they have a contract that binds them to the human world, Psycho mostly recruits demons who have fled. She offers them a contract that basically consists of them becoming members of The Army and work for her in exchange for getting a home and being permitted to stay for as long as the contract consists. That way, the demons can avoid being captured and brought back by the guardians and Psycho gets powerful members for her cause. (Of course nobody knows of this)

Reputation: The Army is barely known and most people don’t take them seriously. The government fails to realize what a danger they might become.

(The Council consists of the three founders and later on their most trusted advisors. They meet to discuss tactics/strategy and come to important decisions. Decisions are made with a simple majority)

The Upturn (lasts for about five years):

General Information:

• The Army has started to take things more seriously
• They now try a more violent approach
• With Professor Doctor Yuusuke Tendet joining the team, they basically get a genius who can build them all sorts of things and proves to be a great advisor
• He crafts extremely modern and well working weapons
• He installs a highly functional security system at their hideout
• He’s a great tactician
• He can make sure they reach as many people as possible throughout the media
• He’s a great hacker
• He installs an own energy production system at their hideout
• He has an excellent reputation, which also boosts The Army’s reputation
• They blow up important buildings (when they’re empty), try to blackmail the government and sabotage their institutes and meetings
• They set up a new special unit, that steals tanks --> Darcienne and Knife
• They set up a new special unit, that steals Plutonium (Yuusuke needs that) --> Scythe and Apollo
• They try to avoid killing, but there are two exceptions
• One: Killing in self-defense obviously is okay (if a police officer or anybody else thinks they can take them on, they are free to try)
• Two: If pressingly necessary (When a person is greatly corrupt or wicked, being a threat to the civilization)
• They always tell their supporters (among the society) to not intervene with their fights and stay peaceful, since they don’t want civilians to go start a riot and get hurt
• Their most successful attacks with the greatest impacts during this time are: Blowing up the seat of government (after the building has been evacuated), stealing tanks from one of the main military bases and paralyzing the government’s IT system for a whole day

Reputation: The Army becomes famous and the main topic in the news. Even other countries hear of them. The opinions of society are mixed. Half of the people regard them as terrorists, the other half celebrates them as revolutionaries. When Yuusuke joins, the government finally starts to take The Army seriously, just a little too late. They struggle to keep up with them and are barely able to have any victories against them. They are not able to stop them from gaining support among the civilization.

Funding: Mainly donations (especially from other countries that quite enjoy the fact that the oh-so-mighty government is struggling with a criminal organization and can’t seem to get the problem under control), theft, work (they sell some of the inventions Yuusuke makes at that time during his work hours)

The Boom (lasts for about a year):
 

General Information:

• The Army is basically on their triumphal march
• Most people support them
• The members are celebrated like heroes
• The government can’t help it anymore and finally gives in
• The government offers The Army a deal, so they can work on a better future together
• The Army agrees and all that is left is to sign the contract

Reputation: Incredibly good.

On the day of the signing of the contract, Chemicide snaps and kills Psycho, dying as well shortly afterwards.

The deal blows.

Citizens and The Army are in shock.

The Disintegration:
 

After Psycho’s and Chemicide’s death, obviously the whole army, but also many citizens are mourning. The members of The Army try their best to keep it together…

But to no avail.

Without their leader, The Army soon starts to collapse and as time passes more and more members leave and move on.

At the end, even the last ones standing have to realize that there’s no use in trying anymore and dissolve the organization.

A while after, they all have to account for their actions in court.

The Trial, known as the “Blood Philosophy Case” / “Blood Philosophy Trial”:

• Named after The Army’s methods, since Psycho often referred to them as her “blood philosophy” (Basically her point was: She knew very well that her methods were “wrong”, but it was the only way to reach their beneficial goal, so there was no way around it. She often mentioned that, “blood philosophy” becoming one of the main key words when talking about The Army)
• Anari defends all members as their barrister in court (she has studied law during her years in Gorgonia and this is both her first and last case, since after that, she’ll obviously lose her license. The government allowed her to be the attorney in this case though, since they thought they’d just benefit from such an inexperienced lawyer anyway)
• Damien van Eis is the assigned prosecutor in this case, although he got supported by Erik Berger and Melody Richter as far as the office work is concerned
• Manuel Braun is the assigned main judge in this case, although altogether three judges will decide over The Army’s fate
• The court, prosecution and government want to get every single member behind bars for the rest of their lives. The only reason that doesn’t work are the people: Around half of the citizens (of age to vote) are out on the streets, demonstrating for regarding The Army’s actions as a revolution and declaring their members not guilty. The government is so pressured by this and so scared of a uprising that at the end they contact the court and use their pardon. The court can’t do anything, but accept this and all members are declared not guilty (the prosecution won’t be happy about this).
• However, it is very clear that the government will supervise all former members of Psycho’s Army from this day on and if they do anything illegal, they will have to face the consequences.

Post-Army:

The Army might not have reached their political goal directly, but the following is sure: They went down in history and changed Gorgonia for many years to come. They have greatly influenced the citizens and even other countries, all following elections will show that. And so will the commitment of the citizens.
